Plan B for younger contractors?

Like many careers, it sounds nice but once you get there it's probably boring as feck and when you tell people your a pilot, no one gives a tulip.

Coding sounds dull but is interesting. Being a pilot sounds cool but probably is dull for a commercial operator. Although I don't know I'd ever get tired of the view.
