Only a tiny minority are willing to use violence. A much wider subset of Muslims may approve of the violence, or not actively disapprove, but this isn't quite the same. Again isn't it comparable to the Troubles? Lots of people supported the IRA or would for instance not tell the police if they knew where an IRA member was hiding, but they were not in the IRA or prepared to use violence.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishing -
Should we just leave them to destroy liberal democracy, secularism, and freedom of speech?Originally posted by Bee View PostThat's right.
So why tease them like in Charlie Hebdo!!! So who are missing the point here.
I don't want Shariah thanks. And I don't want my wife to wear a Burka.Comment

Cartoons are hardly teasing. What they do in Muslim countries is up to them. In Christian countries we have our own standards.Originally posted by Bee View PostThat's right.

If I banned people on the grounds of not agreeing with them, you'd be long gone - along with 95.6% of the members. Now come along - there's being a troll and just being dim.Originally posted by Troll View PostIf only we could have Martin Scroatman's take on the situation (please stop banning people who you don't agree with)

Try to explain to a group of terrorists that there is no need to gunned down people.
You are so naive.
We need more centuries to learn how to respect other religions. No - you have entirely missed what was being said about Jeffry Archer, you've not understood the comparison. Replace "it's a Jeffry Archer novel" with "cheese is tasty", and you'll see pretty much what a non-sequitur your comment was.Originally posted by Bee View PostWith your lack of arguments you have to attack my English.
No problem, It's normal in this forum.

Ever been to Turkey? They have airport-style scanners outside stores, office buildings, etc.Originally posted by mudskipper View PostIf you're going to have security to enter the terminal, then you need the same at stations, theatres, stadiums, large department stores etc.Comment

So - maybe the writing has been on the wall for a while now...
Oh look someone wrote a book which could be considered mildly offensive and got a death threat from the Muslim community
All this talk about not integrating - if you are the outsider you need to integrate - not the other way around - the country you are supposed to be integrating into is not to blame cos you know they let you live in their country so you could integrate.
Or by integrate do they mean have a completely separate little community?
Also one thing which is starting to annoy me is the immigrants - so someone with guns comes and takes your land - so you then go and expect to be able to take someone else's land - and if you do not get what you want you then decide to riot etc.
As others have said the only way to deal with this is to stop trying to make excuses for people based on what we perceive and start to address the issues we see.

Oh dear. I wonder if any of the hand-wringing ninnies who set up that site may now be having second thoughts

Reading this thread I can see that the forum hasn't changed and that a substantially large minority (probably larger in percentage than those Muslims who are extremist) are thick as mince.Hard Brexit now!
