Has a more disruptive effect to shut down a national air hub?Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostI don't understand why terrorists pick airports. There are far better pickings. The Paris attackers had a far more organized manager.

Due to the title, the older thread merged into the new one. Otherwise more threads on the same subject will arise.Originally posted by oracleslave View PostWith people dead and injured - the circus reference wasn't that obvious
Belgian chap in the office isn't surprised. In his opinion it's due to 25-30 years of mismanagement - letting anyone in and letting them do what they like. That chap arrested had been walking around free for the past few months and nobody reported him to the authorities - he was only captured by chance.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

Really? The bombers in London knew blowing up tube trains would be very effective.Originally posted by d000hg View PostHas a more disruptive effect to shut down a national air hub?
Personally I would target some train stations and they wouldn't be terminals."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

And that shut down the entire Tube (IIRC) - same principle. The Underground is a bit special anyway, though you're right that the underground aspect makes it particularly terrifying.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostReally? They're now saying 13 dead, so obviously it's going to be a lot more.

These things don't happen in North Korea because the terrorists are in charge. They just put people in prison camps and murder them there.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment
