Hotels in Cheltenham/Gloucester literally 10x normal price this week too.

The tulip-hole I stay in Gloucester sometimes normally £40 or so. £450 this week :-(

On the plus side for me usually extra trains. And no-one on them going to races at 7am or coming home at 5pm (racing still on).

Alien Guide To Human Apes - Chapter 4, Social Activities: 'Horse Racing'

Some apes enjoy participation in an activity called 'Horse Racing'.
In 'Horse Racing' male apes sit on horses which are made to gallop around a field several times; the speed and direction of
horse travel is controlled by the male apes using forceful direction of the horse's head and whipping of it's hind quarters.
Other male and female apes watch and 'bet money' on which horse-ape completes the laps of the field first.

During the 'Horse Racing' a majority of betting apes will orally consume a drug called 'alcohol' which temporally impaires their judgements and abilities physically and mentally.

Most male betting apes dress in a similar way, female betting apes attempt to dress individually, often in an attempt to sexually attract the male betting apes.

Beer prices up in the pubs too. Back in 2000 our local charged an extra 20p a pint for the duration

I see it's a Costa Coffee now. That'll learn 'em

Can you not just find an in-call Gloucester hooker? They are cheap around there, £100 per night.
