Service charges can occur even on freeholds although they will ideally run open-book and not-for-profit. This model seems more common in Scandinavia where each street collectively owns their management company (or collective as one might call it!)Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishing -
Make sure you always get on with your other co-landlords otherwise they will make your life hell over works needing to be done and then when you try to sell the property on.Originally posted by AtW View PostYeah I knew, just did not expect the language and text to be so close to tenant/landlord
The good news is that the freehold will be passed to new management company where I get a share, so I'll be 1/8th landlord

How come you didn't know that already?
Oh, and how long do you have left on the lease?
As it's in London I suggested suggested may be worth more more there was an "accidental " fire in the block
