Well JP Morgan in Scotland was successfully taking jobs from JP Morgan in London, so whatever. Of course they then outsourced the jobs in my division to Singapore, so I guess nobody wins except the lower-paid workers in Asia.

Well, obviously, not that successfully, otherwise they wouldn't have ended up in Singapore
In fact, the rate card won't be that different between those two locations as SGP workers are, now, quite expensive.

So, might not be quite as you have put it.

The excuses some companies will come up with so they don't have to renew a contractor...

I was permanent and made redundant (they were extremely generous), but good effort.

@Mr Wahlberg, it was 2007, so I doubt the state of play today is relevant to my "story."

I was under the misapprehension that you had typed some relevant, therefore, I assumed it was current.

                Apologies.

Not doing very well, today, am I ?

I try to be relevant, but in order to match your apparently hifalutin gig I had to reach far back into the past to have a hope of any credibility ;-)

Not me, bud, currently out of contract.

Funny, Just had news from a personal contact of me having the likelihood of one waiting for me, when I get back, from 2 months holiday, as follows...

£600 PD+ can work from any location in the world, have to call into the office from "time to time" (as of yet undefined).
Expected to bring at least 3 people in with me.

I don't think of this as that "hifautin", but you may well do.

                      Depends on your outlook.
