The UK law, based on the EU legislation is that it must not be under the actual speed and not more than 10% over +6.25mph.

How accurate is your car speedometer? #AskTCE
Fair enough, thanks for the clarification. I would take a punt that as well as compliance with the law, that marketing is going to push for that speedo to push as close to that 10% as possible.

Yup, also under-inflated (or worn) tyres will give an over reading

In my opinion, any woman driver doing excess of 150 kmph isn't getting enough from her partner ....

Last time I phoned your wife up, she drove at 200kph to get to see me.

I laughed at this until the implied sloppy seconds hit me.*

It was a fast visit too, she only came for about half an hour.

It depends upon the speed she was doing on whether she gets points or not. Now if she was doing a speed where points would be given then they won't go on her UK license but they will go on her record in Flensburg as if she had a German license and if she does it again, then they'll continue adding points until she is banned which might cause some problems somewhere along the line. In Germany you can get points even if you haven't got a license which shocks some cyclists who might have committed a traffic offence and when they do get a license, its got points on it!
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Arrived in the post on Friday, with a nice pic of a perplexed Mrs Stek at the wheel and pic of the numberplate.

Said she was doing 59kmh, which is what I saw when glanced at the speedo, but unfortunately was in a 50 not a 60. €15.00 fine and that's it. Not bad compared to my 3 points, £60 fine for 34 in a 30 in UK....
