I reckon contracting at 600+ GBP a day for 12 months (or more) in a row solid with board and lodging paid for is already some kind of "get rich quick scheme". Compared to employment anyway, I guess that's why we are contracting, right? Plus from my perspective and situation, having a UK Limited Company might be akin to having one in the Seychelles or HK or you name it.Originally posted by original PM View PostLook OK I am not trying to be rude or confrontational but if you think you have hit on a get rich quick scheme think again.

Until you are in a position where you never have to work a day in your life unless you want to you have not got rich.
If you happen to earn a lot of money great but you are just well paid salary man.Comment

You are absolutely right. But going from being able to save up 500£ a month (if that) as a Big4 employee in London to being able to put aside 15-20 times that is still an improvement in the order of magnitude.
So no, I'm not imagining mysef as a rich individual. But I'm trying to see if I can open a company in a most favourable jurisdiction.Comment

The short answer is, yes you can if your circumstances are very specific.
Setting up an overseas debit card won't do it, spending the cash here still counts as remittance of income.
What you need to do is be non-domiciled, move about every couple of years so that you're not in the UK for more than 7 out of the past 9 years, hold an offshore company where all company income is transferred to, pay dividends offshore, and make sure you only remit capital and not income (for this, a simple transfer from current account to capital account and then hold for a year or more before remitting back from the capital account).

Again, a lot of details but that's something that doesn't apply to me. I have been a UK resident before, it's not the case anymore. The work I'll be doing will not be in the UK. My only tie to the UK is the fact I believe it's the best positioned country in Europe to find somebody who can set up the offshore I need, because of its historical relationships with many of these jurisdictions.
I'm not an accountant either, which is why I am basically looking for one. My research includes asking in forums. So here I am.Comment

Well, you're not providing any specifics about exactly what you're after so I don't imagine that it's going to be an easy task for you by drip feeding vague details.
Not a UK resident, not working here, no ties here. Exactly what is it that you're after from a UK-based forum then?Comment

I'm after any knowledge and suggestions about firms/agents/younameit which are UK based and offer offshore company formation.
Pretty much what the thread opener was after, too.Comment

Then I would suggest asking in an accountant's forum.Originally posted by UncleRoger View PostI'm after any knowledge and suggestions about firms/agents/younameit which are UK based and offer offshore company formation.
