You'd be fined £10k per employee then, asylum seekers are not allowed to work (unless they've been here over 12 months and the role is in the shortage list) -
If they could Bill me a £million why would I care about a £10k fine ?Originally posted by stek View PostYou'd be fined £10k per employee then, asylum seekers are not allowed to work (unless they've been here over 12 months and the role is in the shortage list)Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

So how do you know they are not all economic migrants or terrorists?Originally posted by d000hg View PostYes but we shouldn't let facts get in the way of irrational, ignorant, prejudice (this may be a tautology?)Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

Takes some balls to move from a country with no benefits to one with a welfare state ready to provide handouts for everything and live in fear of you playing the race card if things don't go their way? Yeah, whatever. Ask the girls of Rotherham, Rochdale and other northern towns how that worked out.Originally posted by d000hg View PostWould you move half way round the world in the back of a lorry because you were a lazy scrounger? That takes some balls, and/or a home situation that is so bad you are literally desperate to try anything.
Like a White Utopia you mean?
Sshhhh, that doesn't suits d000hg's rhetoric of trying to "out" people as racist.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostLondon has never been " white" in that way. It's been the first point of entry for immigrants from around the world for centuries.
If they're amoral and would think nothing of shafting a few contractors, surely they'd be after your job first?Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostI would employ them straight away
Just imagine if they are prepared to do that to get here they would think nothing of shafting a few contractors to make some decent moneyThe greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't existComment

From your cosseted, prejudiced position I'm sure you see it that way. Moving to a totally different culture thousands of miles away is not something you do lightly...Originally posted by LondonManc View PostTakes some balls to move from a country with no benefits to one with a welfare state ready to provide handouts for everything and live in fear of you playing the race card if things don't go their way? As I alluded to, the facts don't matter to some people. Britain is 'awash' with foreigners, 'ruining' our country, it was 'much better in the past'.Sshhhh, that doesn't suits d000hg's rhetoric of trying to "out" people as racist.
I'm not sure if you're a racist, just a bigot or merely a nationalistic jerk but to suggest nobody in this thread is is blinkered.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

He just happens to be right and you don't like it hence the smear. I find surprising as you set yourself up as being truly understanding of the victims of this world. Heaven forbid that any of them would be as opportunist, ambitious or determined or intelligent enough to work out that such a journey is worth doing even for state benefits.Originally posted by d000hg View PostFrom your cosseted, prejudiced position I'm sure you see it that way. I've no doubt many of them are - but the vast majority are genuinely trying to escape some horror or other, usually from some place the West is using to test/sell weapons.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostHe just happens to be right and you don't like it hence the smear. I didn't say it's a decision they take lightly, but it's like a decision to work away each week for a better long term future; you're sacrificing the now for the bigger picture.Originally posted by d000hg View PostFrom your cosseted, prejudiced position I'm sure you see it that way. I'm certainly no racist. I have problems with the game, not the players.Originally posted by d000hg View PostAs I alluded to, the facts don't matter to some people. Britain is 'awash' with foreigners, 'ruining' our country, it was 'much better in the past'.

Iranian girls taste particularly sweet in the morning by the way - sorry if that doesn't suit your socialist preconceptions of me.

Try living in a country that is actually struggling with a massive influx of asylum seekers and migrant workers and I'll listen to your inane ravings. The overwhelming majority of migrants to the UK are EU citizens. You want to sort that, quit the EU. I think there's a vote coming up you can participate in.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostAs you seem to have the moral high ground on this I am sure to show the sanctity of your opinions you will no doubt lead the way by opening your own doors to refugees and economic migrants. Or will you just dump them on someone else like the rest of your ilk Why does Middlesbrough have the most asylum seekers? - BBC News
When you say "everyone" people like you really mean everyone but yourselves.
Scotland has been in the border of negative population growth for over a decade, we can certainly afford to take more in, but we're bound by people at Westminster who seem to have a vested interest in playing games with people's fears about migrants of all stripes. Do go on playing the puppet if it makes you happy.Comment
