    At £35 it hardly matters.

You mean like the boxing day sales we had decades earlier?

Thanks - I was hoping others might post tips like that, a roundup of where is actually worth looking.

There are some good deals, including on Amazon, just need to do a bit of quick research as to how much the product sells for usually, but my approach to it is only to buy what I wanted to buy anyway, providing the price is right. I tend to monitor trends in prices of things I want to avoid false discount rushes.

Think their kindle HDX 8.9 32GB is not badly priced.

Amazon's discounts on their own kit seem legit, generally I don't trust their other deals or at least don't have the time to invest searching through them and cross-checking.

I'm tempted by a £35 tablet just to check it out really. My trusty iPad2 is slowly dying and a tablet I can use on the exercise bike in the garage or in the bath without caring if I drop it, is quite attractive.

They're in the habit of quoting RRPs; if the product in question has other sellers listed you can get a more accurate idea of what its usual pricing is but these days I guess a Google search will suffice.

But all this penny pinching is veering into
              NCOTBAC territory.

So loads of idiots will now drive miles out of their way to save £2.40 on a full tank of fuel.

BarryDidIt is from Yorkshire, so, probably, yes

Once they hear the words "save £2.40" they become impervious to the downsides.

Are you two cretins going to go through the rest of the thread and point out that you don't want a telly or an Xbox or an Amazon dongle and it's therefore useless to you?
