    They are (obviously) logging IP/date ranges.
    Yes but why? There's a big fuss at moment about government plans to make ISPs keep records of our online activity but it seems they are doing some of it already. Surely lots of websites record IP addresses, put the two together and you have the info the govt. is looking for. Sure the govt. could easily hack into SQL databases if it wanted.

      Only if they owned by the likes of Talk Talk et al. The databases they really want to hack into are owned by Apple and Google.

        IP records have to be kept for criminal enquiries.

        Your IP is tied to the router that communicates to the ISP; each device that links with the router remains anonymous to the website - the website only see the router's IP address, hence why they cannot prove that it was even someone in your house. I popped across the route to chat to my neighbour last week and was still connected to my wifi - an unsecured connection could be used by anyone in a reasonable radius.

            A secured connection could also be used with someone with a little technical knowledge and the right tools
            Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

            No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

                One of the many reasons why an IP cannot hold up in a court case

                  For now all he said was the following;

                  1. If you decide to represent yourself you need to expect at least three letters from Goldeneye over the next few weeks/months.

                  2. I do not expect a claim to be made by Goldeneye but they will keep the pressure on you.

                  JayJay - don't panic and just get in touch with Lawdit.
                  Cheers bro. I will tell my Mum. She's the accused. Complete bollocks obviously.
