    HMRC closing offices

HMRC to merge 170 offices into 13 hubs as part of major overhaul - Telegraph

One hopes the lack of staff will lead to an end to IR35 investigations. Then we can get down to business!

They don't answer the phone now, I can't see how their service could deteriorate anymore unless they sent a drone strike to anyone who had the temerity to call them
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Just waiting for DC to write to them and ask why the amount of investigations has gone down.

Once we're forced onto the payroll I'm guessing there won't be any more need for IR35 inwestigations.

Or do we think they'll still be doing retrospective investigations?

ex-mrs-bp1 is one of those who go to people's houses harassing them for money. Apparently she mostly does not visit an office. She just goes out and annoys people. Maybe that is the future?
