nearly 20 years ago I moved in with mrs EO and we split all the common bills in half. just running costs.
house insurance
food
gas and lekky
ground rent
council tax
water
TV licence
sky rental
phone
and it came to £5200 or £100 per week. So I coughed up 60 pw. The idea being that she was struggling, eventually inflation would catch up, then she would be carrying me for a few years, then we would review the numbers to make it fair once again.
that time has now arrived.
so what do you reckon ? will I get my @rse burned ?
I pay for all the bills except food and the kids clothes which is paid for by the missus who gets 1200 a month in rent from some houses and child benefit. While I pay the mortgages on said rental property and the child benefit off my PAYE as I was too lazy too stop it even though we're not entitled.
I still have to bail her out with an extra couple of grand every 4 or 5 months. What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment

Seems fair to me – we review our outgoings every 4-5 years, the contribution split is sort of a percentage of income, so previously my share has been at 30% then 50% nowadays its 70%Growing old is mandatory
Growing up is optionalComment
