Yes and all those on this forum who voted Tories are very clever people who should rejoice at every pound of flesh Gideon takes because Labour would have done worse

      Who is deluded here?

The fact is that Labour said they will reduce deficit SLOWER with MORE DEBT. That meant lower taxes. Gideon wanted to outdo them and made reckless promise that now require massive increase in taxation which would NOT have happened under Labour. What would have happened is 50% tax reinstated which would have caused far less damage to most people on here.

The solution is make sure big business pays its fair share.
Big business thinks that the fair share is zero.

And that horse was called Ed, and had Sturgeon mounted on its back, whip and all.

The matter of CEO remuneration concerns only the shareholders of the company and nobody else.

Mind you, that's probably how they got their T&S, IR35 and dividend tax ideas.

Could your business function if you had to promise today exactly what you would spend, and earn, for the next 5 years and you had to stick to it?
                      2) Tories should have said at least something along those lines - increased taxes are for the duration of Parliament to make sure we reach objective of smoothing the effect of spending cuts at start of Parliament
Divi taxes are entirely reasonable at the current proposed levels, this is a correction we had coming. It's all the other stuff that seems absurdly punitive.
