You would also be shocked at the price of some NHS medical care particularly emergency life saving treatment.

You could buy a new GF for that, one without a cat.

I live in a rural community so the conversation tends to be how much to put it down and get a new one compared to fixing it.

Our cats eat grass all the time, they never choke on it. They sh!t it out quite easily.
The missus is a cat lover and she thinks they either get plant material benefits, or it clears the worms out.

I did see a previous cat, the late Brewster -Roustabout, sitting on the workstation one day with a nine inch bit of foliage hanging out of her bum.

I got a bit of kitchen roll and pulled it out. First time I ever saw a cat cum really

They eat grass as it makes them puke up fur balls etc, its third time with this cat its got stuck, I recon its got something wrong with it that means when she pukes blades are getting stuck at back of throat upto nose. To get it out this time we went local vet first who couldn't shift it who referred us to animal hosiptal. Last time it happened I told gf to get better insurance for a few quid more you get 4k cover she didnt ... vet fees are high I thought may be a grand tops for this not 3.5k, though I did miss the cat this eve when I got home may be even 3.5k worth lol

What would've happened if they didn't remove the blade of grass?

Would of killed the cat in the end as it cause inflammation and infection, the first vet tried on Friday and couldn't get it out, the other couldn't do it till yesterday so over weekend cat was on a lot of drugs spaced out with a lot of slobber coming from her mouth.

The actual treatment involved anaesthetic and endoscopy and special tools to remove they had to do it through the nose, the anaesthetic alone was close to £350, then a drip of antibiotics £300, overnight stay +++ I'm a bit skint at the moment so this is going to wipe me out until pay day at the end of the month.
