I've got English friends (best man at my wedding), I work in England. It is all just banter.

I'm proud to say that I've very rarely seen any serious anti-English abuse at rugby EVER. I've got a friend who frequently comes to Cardiff to watch Wales v England and wears a white jersey.

Yes, there is a lot of stick given but hey ho. Maybe only once ever did my friend get treated badly and then I stepped it to defend them against some drunk nobhead. And I always will. BUT if you're going to get offended because theres lot of noisy smelly welsh people around taking the p*ss then stay home.

Just be grateful you're not a football supporter in the wrong pub, in the wrong city, wearing the wrong jersey, in England where you're possibly going to get a good pasting.

When you look at their population, etc, being a decent team is an entirely reasonable level of ambition.

But not New Zealand who are not much bigger in population than Wales. I seem to remember your lot losing to Samoa was that based on size of country?

I think you will find england rugby is made up of old farts in blazers rather than decent players. England also has the handicap of the fact that anyone with a brain won't become a pro rugby player.. a problem wales does not share
