Why doesn't Stelios come up with 'Easy Deportation' - he'd make millions.... and have a never ending revenue stream from those who travel the world to El Dorado.

P.S on a similar track, where do all the illegals that the spanish give amnesty to, end up...?

Surely they cannot be given the same travel rights as EU citizens, and thefore head straight past Go to El Dorado....

But, eventually, I suppose they do....

Yes, they are. Same in Italy as well as pointed out in the Economist a couple of weeks ago. There's little point in countries like France and the UK getting tough on illegals and throwing a few out because they just go to Spain, wait 12 months or so picking tomatoes while waiting for the next amnesty, then collect their EU passport enabling them to live and claim benefits anywhere in the EU.

My personal opinion - time to pull out of the EU and instead form trade agreements, as the Swiss have done.

You are missing one very important point McGuids...the swiss, unlike the English, actually are capable of making things happen. they dont just f8ck around for years discussing something to death (cross rail)...they make it happen!

That might be too difficult for the Home Office which seems to have 'incompetance is our watchword' as it's motto. Hows about deporting those who have completed their sentence first. (who will therefore not re-offend and thereby will not be coming back to prison, at least in the UK)

I can see the Expat Aussies and Kiwis lining up to knock over their local post office on the chance of a free, all expeses paid trip back home
