Now, the JLE, that was one project we thought would never get completed...

Enough for a nice little holiday abroad, then a budget flight back to Blighty to claim the dole and go back to thieving.
Utter, utter, morons.

Unbelievable…. just heard the BBC announce that the government will pay £2500 'resettlement grants' to get foreign-born criminals in prison to agree to return home?

My personal opinion - time to pull out of the EU and instead form trade agreements, as the Swiss have done.

P.S on a similar track, where do all the illegals that the spanish give amnesty to, end up...?
Surely they cannot be given the same travel rights as EU citizens, and thefore head straight past Go to El Dorado....
But, eventually, I suppose they do....

And quite right too. Remember, the fuzzy-wuzzies don't like it up em
Why doesn't Stelios come up with 'Easy Deportation' - he'd make millions.... and have a never ending revenue stream from those who travel the world to El Dorado.

Oh dear : Soft on crime, tough on pensioners
It would seem that the number of prison cells available is down to less than 150...
new labour solution - lock up pensioners who refuse to pay council tax, but 'reclassify' others so they can be let out / put in open prisons.
Which bearing in mind the debacle of 4-6 weeks ago at Ford Open Prison where it turned out murderers, rapists and paedophiles had been placed there, and reguarly absconded, is not a particularly encouraging sign.
As usual, if you order the BBC's 'Have Your Say' by 'Readers Recommended', the opinion of our illustrious government seems to be on a different planet to the will of the people they represent:
