Nope, I just worked hard to not be easily replaced by a poorly skilled foreigner. Unlike you, based on your level of fear.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishing -
Maybe they are all low skilled?IT contractors at Bank of America Merrill Lynch face being laid-off unless they agree to do the same work for much less money.
Those who wish to keep their contracts at the bank must cut their rate by 10% from Oct 5th, in addition to taking two weeks off by Nov 6th.
Once these compulsory furloughs are added to the reduction on a typical six-month contract, it equates to a real-term pay cut of almost 20%, one affected contractor told ContractorUK.Comment

A 10-20% cut on £500pd (at a guess) is hardly putting them on the poverty line. Maybe they shouldn't be so exorbitantly expensive to start with.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostMaybe they are all low skilled?Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Yes please. I would like some form of closed shop, similar to what doctors, lawyers and other groups have had for hundreds of years. Something along the lines of "only people with an electronics degree may touch a computer" would do nicely, or similar. My rates would then increase to about £7000 per day, as would yours. Roughly what barristers are paid.Originally posted by d000hg View PostYou'd prefer protectionism?
PS i have outsourced my rants to India. How's it going so far?Comment
