Reminder: Don't forget to downgrade your free BT sports

From Aug 1, they are going to charge £5 for all the people currently using the free BT sports app. By default, all the buggers are opted in and you need to downgrade if you don't care about football.

    To downgrade,

    1. Login to My BT
    2. Expand My Products and BT sport
    3. Click 'Get the best deal for BT Sport'
    4. At the bottom of the page click Downgrade now button in pink
    5. Place order, accept terms, confirm order etc

Or just agree to a new 12 month contract.

I can't get cable and I won't get sky so it's not a big deal for me.

Look out as well - they are hiking their prices for line rental & calls from September. I'm contemplating switching to Plusnet

I don't have a BT Line, I have Virgin fibre broadband and a mobile phone.

Tech Mahindra, sorry I mean British Telecom, can go fark themselves.

Plusnet are owned by BT. Just seem to be better.

Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

No, if you have BT Broadband, you got BT Sports included "free" with the package.

I wouldn't do that unless they offer a good discount. There are numerous free and cashback offers at the moment.

Yup. We don't have many options where we live - no Virgin and we don't want Sky.
5 years ago we had 256k broadband, Infinity arrived in the village 2 years ago and now get 14Mb. Would prefer to stick with a BT owned company since it's one of their subsidiaries who maintains the lines. They can't fob you off as easily.

BTW, did you know that in the 1940s -1970s the GPO used aluminium for cables in some places? (follow up question: do you know what one of the worst data conductors is?)
