No, because my friends and family have IQs that are collectively above that of a concussed bee. Anyway, they're far too busy enjoying my largesse.Originally posted by psychocandy View PostDo you ever find friends and family think what you do is "easy"? ...Down with racism. You were lucky I had to get the "be nice to someone on a Monday morning" thing out of the way, as I have meetings with a dodgy contractor who is going to be most upset that I actually know the contract & will quote clauses at them, so no they won't get any money & they may well be getting a contra-charge from me due to their terrible performance & delays that cost the project & other contractors time / money so will they please now go forth & multiply & stop waiting my time ....... (and breathe)Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

Diddums. What about all the people working equally hard for £25k permie salaries, and considering themselves lucky to be earning so much?

Yep. But it's only a HWF if both parents are working.Originally posted by DimPrawn View Post"Hard working families"? They are the ones LibLabCon are looking after aren't they?

Anyway, this thread about PC crying that he's expected to work hard in return for his substantial earnings. I think he should take a permie job close to home.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

This IT contracting is an easy life. Long periods of humdrum with brief periods of stress for pot loads of money. Usually there's ample time for a quick look on the interweb, or a coffee. Lovely.
Travelling - it can be a drag, yes. I suppose the key is to adjust your state of mind to it. Acceptance is the first step. "I'm stuck in this situation for 180 minutes a day. How can I use it best?". Treat yourself to an iPod and a Kindle. Lovely. Suddenly, instead of refereeing the kids or being stuck in nose to tail traffic you are in a magical world filled with music and the tranquil state brought about by the reading of a good book. Lovely.Comment

I'd suggest that you get a good 4G connection and browse porn. Alternatively, download plenty of porn using office Wifi and watch it on the way back.
The OP isn't unaware of these things given the type of contract he chooses.Last edited by FatLazyContractor; 27 July 2015, 10:28.Comment
