That reg was done away with about ten years ago

I remember seeing the workaround to this reg. while househunting in the '80s.
It was common to have the kitchen next to the bog, so to make it saleable they had two doors hung on the same frame, opening in opposite directions,
one out, one in, creating a 'room' in between.
