It’s 73, Chester Square, and if security’s important to you, you might want to arrange a viewing, because there’s a steel bomb-proof door separating the six-storey, six-bedroom Belgravia townhouse from the street. This was Margaret Thatcher’s home, from the end of her tenure as Prime Minister in 1991 to her death in 2013. But it’s had a very modern refurbishment since (by developer Leconfield), and now features a gym, media room and bar, and has been expanded to include an entire mews at the back. Guide price? £30m. It's just round the back of the Michelin plant and close to the rugby ground.
Nice hills round there for walking.
The first guys in the UK to create crop circles grew up near there, as did Jimmy Nesbitt and Liam Neeson.
And some of the best poteen is made about 5 miles from the bunker, too.
...allegedly.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment
