Do You Show Enough Deference at Work?

I think we all talk nice to the guy who signs time sheets and is responsible for renewing our contract. That's as it should be.

Everyone else just gets detached courtesy. But if I met the client CEO, I probably would be a little more deferential, TBH.

If you are not planning to seek renewal you can speak a bit more freely. But don't forget you still want to leave a nice smell behind.

I only show deference to those who can best me in physical combat or Connect 4.
