I need to get from Ebchester, co. Durham to Bellingham, Northumberland.

In the past I would have done United / Go Ahead Northern -> Newcastle, City Busways -> Haymarket & Northumbria -> Bellingham.

No that everything is run by Stagecoach / First Bus, is there an integrated cross Tyne service these days?
United!? Blimey, that was some time ago.

Try this Nexus Tyne and Wear - Public Transport and Local Information for an integrated journey planner.
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

Have you tried Google Maps? They recently integrated public transport route information so if you ask for directions and select bus/public transport, it might tell you the bus numbers and frequency even if multiple providers are needed.

I've actually found the Nexus resource suggested by a previous poster to be commensurate with my requirements.

In fact, from that I see I can also go via Two Ball Lonnen on the City Busways route and continue on my way along the West Road on the Tynedale service. This is very convenient as TBL is another drop off point for which I otherwise would have had to have made a totally separate itinerary.
