I'm going to stand as an MEP.
I haven't decided on what political party yet but I think I will go for the one with fewer cretins around technology issues....."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

You have heard of the Schengen agreement I presume?
The UK and Ireland aren't part of this Schengen agreement. So it means if anyone who is a EU citizen decides to go to the UK from a Schengen area country like France their passport will be checked.
Passports are linked to computer systems such as Schengen Information System. However the UK Home Office has decided they are too cheap/incompetent/stupid* to use it to flag up EU criminals and stop them entering the UK.

But let me say this, at a much earlier point in this debate many of the forum regulars would have dropped out due to you and the other three's insults and abuse. But, more importantly, this isn't the first forum I've come across where there is a similar Pro-EU sentiment from a selective bunch. In fact, the arguments and wording are the same here which I've seen on other forums and blogs too. As soon as someone makes a case for leaving the EU, they are pounced on by what appears to be the forum regulars...meaning that they back off in fear of being banned.
Another things is this, I've mentioned people being murdered and raped, I'm talking kids here yet you lot brush all of that off? I've even mentioned jobs and that was brushed off too? Those two points are what I don't get about you lot? They are serious and real points yet all of you have brushed off such points with Pro-EU and anti-British excuses and then descended on me with insults and abuse?
Seriously, what is your endgame here? Are you guys EU paid trolls whose purpose is to maintain the flame of EU Progressive Socialism on Internet forums? I just don't get it? Each and every time this discussion comes up on CUK it's the same old people who stamp out the debate? And yes, others have noticed the same thing too.
So c'mon, what's the crack here?"Progressiveness is the blind and fear-filled worship of dead socialists such as Joseph Stalin, Leon Trotsky, Vladimir Lenin and Adolf Hitler."

Very few people who travel into Europe from the UK drive across.....

It is night time here in the UK but I guess being in the US (or is it Australia) and not knowing anything about European time zones as well as the EU means you don't realise that.

In fact one of the posters you were "debating" with could have just banned you instead....

In fact even the newspapers whose headlines you highlighted actually put some facts in their stories. Unfortunately most of their readership have limited comprehension skills like you so can only comprehend short words in big letters.

That way those who work in technology all over Europe will be recognised properly for the good work they do....."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

No they have gone to bed like I'm doing in a moment.

You don't get banned on this forum for debating with people, you do get banned for trolling though.

That's because your arguments aren't based on any facts.

I'm in London and today is a Bank holiday.
Seriously though, I really don't understand why you and a few others stamp out these debates. Anyway, I'll break it off because obviously I have lost.Last edited by Roger Mellie; 24 May 2015, 23:25."Progressiveness is the blind and fear-filled worship of dead socialists such as Joseph Stalin, Leon Trotsky, Vladimir Lenin and Adolf Hitler."

I have lost work to non-EU immigrants.
There are also jobs that British people can't do including in the low paid hotel and hospitality industries due to missing one vital skill which is speaking one or more foreign languages so the company can trade with companies/people from abroad including the EU.
.
You seem to be saying that there are no British people with language skills who could work in that sector - well I seem to recall that, in the past, getting a hotel job over the summer season was one of the more common ways for a student to make money over the summer and I'd argue that a fair percentage would have language skills.
Furthermore, I see no reason to believe that a Pole, say, is any more likely to speak another foreign language (other than their mother tongue) than someone from this country. Less so, probably, because we all learn French / German and I'm guessing they mostly learn English at school instead. And is the mother tongue really going to put the employer at that much of an advantage given that most people who speak Polish (or whatever) are here for low paid work rather than being here on business?Comment

HTH, BIDI.
FWIW I'm not convinced that Roger Mellie is trolling. I think it's simply that he's stupid and ignorant (in addition to xenophobic). And hasn't figured out his views are very much in the minority.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment
