Maybe if the UK used the Schengen Information System fully then they would have known that. You see, when they scan your passport it automatically gets all information on you from SIS including any criminal activities that are on your record but the UK don't use that little bit...EUR-Lex - 32006R1987 - EN - EUR-Lex
