    Holiday hotels to work from

    Hi

Can anyone recommend a good family hotel in the Canaries, Balearics or mainland Spain with really good WIFI that's available in the bedrooms or in a business centre as opposed to in the lobby, which is too noisy to do conference calls from?

    Thanks

Take a holiday or go to work, why mix the two?

Then it's not a holiday is it, seriously I contract (and work bloody hard) so I can take plenty of time off as and when I like, to reap the benefits. I wouldn't book a holiday abroad and take all my work baggage with me!

That's your attitude, it doesn't mean that other people feel the same way.

I've had 2 developer project resources in the past who were working remotely from holiday locations, one often teleconferenced in from the bar. They made their deliverables on time and quality, that's all that matters.

Lots of people, like myself, enjoy working.

I also enjoy beaches, beer & sunshine.

If it were possible with my current client i'd be working from a sunny resort much of the time - the day rate covers costs & still leaves some left over for savings.

The best I've managed so far is to spend couple of weeks in Ayia Napa sorting out contract negotiations & doing my accounts.

              +1
I have managed working from home in Egypt, Goa etc.
              I also take unpaid holidays.

The Lopesan Baobab in Gran Canaria is superb.

I do hope, if you're going to work while on beach in sunny foreign climes, that you remember to tell your client "this isn't my normal place of work as agreed in my contract, so I'll submit my expenses when I get back".

                  AYCOTBAC?

Contractor hot tip, to get some peace and quiet whilst working from home on a foreign beach resort, try and pick one that has the option to rent a room by the hour
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.
