Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Funny sort of atmosphere. The Murdoch press and the Tory boys in the City are shrieking with success. But outside that no one seems really all that interested .

Reminds me of 1992 when the Tories got in as the least crummy choice.

Worst years of my life under that Major Government. Thought those days were long behind me. Now it seems they were just part 1.

The Boss has sent his regards to the new junior manager. Nice of him to take the time really.

EU ready to hear Cameron ideas, seek 'fair deal' for Britain | Reuters

President Juncker congratulates David Cameron for the results of the election in the United Kingdom," Commission spokesman Margaritis Schinas told a daily media briefing.

"The European Commission stands ready to work constructively with the new government and Juncker looks forward to meeting David Cameron soon."

Yeah, it's not like it's on the front of every UK news outlet, whether print, online, TV or whatever, and not just the Murdoch outlets. And we don't have multiple threads on this very forum, including one 29 pages long. I've not heard multiple (non Tory boys, not in the city) people talking about it at ClientCo.

                No-one's that interested really.

Ignored all the election coverage...decades of hearing the same thing over and over again. the #Cons came up with nothing more than some scare mongering and some bribery as far as I can tell.

I only recall David Cameron saying "We created 2 million jobs". What! 2 million more civil servants.

Governments don't have much say on the overall economy anyway. So its all a load of tripe.

But the #Cons have still encouraged many many foreign IT workers in. and There is still the nagging issue of under investment in automation to improve the UK productivity which lags even italy. The UK is simply surviving because of tons of cheap labour..if wages go up the UK is buggered.
