Yes, but the SNPs seats are in Scotland so don't count for anything.I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. The fallout from the inevitable boundary changes will be interesting, as the SNP won't happy about that. Obviously, they'll be looking for any opportunity to argue that something structural has changed that requires another referendum. It'll be interesting to see how quickly they can manufacture something that sticks with their electorate.Originally posted by SimonMac View PostWhy would either of the two (three?) main parties want to weaken their position, only people who would want it is UKIP and the Greens and no one listens to them
Anyway, good result overall. I'm no particular fan of the Tories (the political backdrop for contractors is an ugly baby contest), but it beats the alternatives that looked very likely yesterday. Bloody pollsters.
