Yes it was his wife. It might be different now but back then you were asked to abstain for 6 weeks to allow your wife/girlfriend to recover from childbirth. -
I just meant that if his wife was given a good bollocking, then that would be a starting point...Originally posted by Batcher View PostYes it was his wife. It might be different now but back then you were asked to abstain for 6 weeks to allow your wife/girlfriend to recover from childbirth.Comment

I'm sure I heard that in the old days, when women reached maturity later in life and were married young, it was not infrequent that a woman never had a period - they were already having sex when they became fertile so got pregnant, and then got pregnant again as soon as they had recovered from the previous pregnancy, until their body got tired of the whole thing and gave up.
No idea if it's true.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Where do they find these people? or are they made up? it's like the Big brother contestants who start crying after 3 days because they've never been apart from their other half that long before (Wow... get a lifeJust three days in, I was thinking about what I was missing a fair bit. It was like being on a diet and being told you can’t have sugary foods — they become irresistible. As the week dragged on, my frustration built, and by the fifth morning I was distinctly irritable, particularly as I left Judy in bed to take my early-morning shower. I wanted her so much at that moment.
Judy became a lot snappier too...
).
Id think that anyone feeling like that (re the sex) after less than a week has some significant mental health issues / emotional damage.Comment

Infant mortality rates were thrugh the roof (i think north of 50% only a few hundred years ago - could be mistaken). So it wouldn't surprise me.Originally posted by d000hg View PostI'm sure I heard that in the old days, when women reached maturity later in life and were married young, it was not infrequent that a woman never had a period - they were already having sex when they became fertile so got pregnant, and then got pregnant again as soon as they had recovered from the previous pregnancy, until their body got tired of the whole thing and gave up.
