Obvious common sense policy for Britain

Of these about 25% are economically inactive as they are pensioners.
But most of the EU migrants are economically active or young.

So a straight swap would see about 500,000 extra pensioners arriving to strain the NHS.

Hopefully that would break it so we could start again.

It does seem that certain cultures are superior at certain times in history. e.g. the cultures of the Indus and the Middle East were more advanced than European ones thousands of years ago, Arabic culture was once the most enlightened and learned in the world, the Italians (Romans) were once the fiercest fighters in the world and the Brits were undoubtedly among the cleverest people 200 years ago.

But British culture has been in sharp decline for more than half a century, coinciding with the welfare state, so now we are fat and lazy.
And yes other people work harder in general: this has been shown by the consistently low productivity figures for the Uk in the past 50 years.

Yes, how superior are we in the modern context compared to the Danish / Swedes / Nords?

If history and the logic thereby should be applied, Indus valley should have ideally been the most superior civilizations of all.

Not that it would happen anyway. The Spanish will never get rid of our OAP's. If the EU told Spain to kick them out their housing market would crash for a start. All the money those pensioners spend in Spanish shops would go. And all the bad publicity would affect the tourist industry.

The hard working Eastern Eurpoeans are paying tax which, in turn, is paying the pensions of those ex-pats living in Spain and elsewhere. The pensioners aren't getting benefits from the Spanish and are not self funding.

If pensions had been set up correctly in the first place, the money you put in would be kept in a pot for you retiring but it wasn't so the workers of today are paying the pensioners and they, in turn, will need to rely on the workers of the future to pay their pensions.
