          Don't use the cheques, you get ripped off. Transfer an imaginary balance into your SBT card (eg, egg money virgin and 1 or two others if you have one), and then into your bank account

            Mark my words - this side of Xmas, most likely November, BoE will raise rates to 5%, this will put a dump on Xmas spending - not a good time for retail. Better start writing those "close-up sale" now...

              They're old ones. Almost four years old. Capital one sent me about 30 originally, all at 0% and no fee, with no expiry date.

              Dumbest thing they ever did. I use the balance against my offset mortgage. Thanks Capital One
