I would say that any political party that believes that it has any major impact on the economy is talking out their ass. And Britian has been deep in debt of many centuries, so that kills the whole "so and so have bankrupted the economy" argument.
Its a choice between knobs and posh knobs. The end result will be the same either way.McCoy: "Medical men are trained in logic."

IDS & Gove may be a bit odd but they are working hard to repair Labour's mess.Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment

I think they're the best of a bad bunch, that Cameron is the best party leader by far, and I don't agree with the "grass roots views" of the Labour supporters I know but let's not get carried away applauding the Tories' achievements.
As for poverty there is only so much a government can do. The electorate would not stand for the reforms needed to reduce poverty or improve the NHS. PFI is a scam, nothing but a scam to leave future generations in poverty. But overall its a tiny percentage of GDP. Main problem I see in the UK is a lack of investment in technology, lack of investment in tools to improve productivity and tulip wages.

Anyone who takes any notice of LibLabCon "promises" needs to be sectioned.
LibLabCon policy is:
Open door immigration, encourage more at every opportunity
Money printing to spend on housing immigrants
Attack IT contractors at every point, if possible just imprison them
Love in with the EU overlords
Hand out work permits to India like sweeties
I think that's the main policies covered.Comment

It does look like the usual political sledgehammer, cost savings are incidental they know that
But really it's an attack on the unworking Chatsworth class which is Labours core vote these daysSocialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.
No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.Comment
