I wonder if this means Dave will have to stop showing the Top Gear Amazon Special now?

I tried Prime; couldn't find anything to watch. Then I tried Netflix and could find things to watch, so went with that. I suspect I'll end up with both at some point; it'll still be cheaper than Sky.

But I think you can "rent" things as a one off on Prime without subscribing.

I have such woeful internet in the village I live in that any streaming is nigh on impossible.

Not happy, but thats the market.

If you are on Prime, if when you buy goods you can choose not to have them delivered next day and then you get vouchers to use for amazon tv/movies, mp3s, kindle books etc so if you don't need something urgently then you can rent movies for free on Amazon
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

But will Amazon give it the mega budget to do all those high production value films, foreign trips, and renting a test track and having a big studio audience. Take away those things and you are left with Fifth Gear, and their endless raffles, competitions and other income generating guff.

Biggest loss is the test track and the stig.

I believe that Amazon got a bit more cash than BBC, the competition on the streaming TV arena is heating up with all contenders scrambling to deliver original content and the actor line ups are looking ever more impressive so obviously they are not low budget afterthoughts.

the loss of the track and the stig can be a good think, one one hand i pride myself of knowing why the last corner was called "Gambon" without googling (btw the first suggestion after when you type Gambon in google is "gambon corner") on the other it was getting old. So a fresh start might prove to be positive.

As for Amazon prime if you have a baby the 20% discount on nappies from Amazon Famliy (which gives you prime membership) is paying for the yearly subscription so it's a no brainer. Amazon video sucked badly up until 6 months or so, now days there is a lot more content which I myself consider free due to the above reason.
