Only on Daily Mail Island does saying it should not be a crime to belong to an organisation equate to support for that organisation. That was just a smear.

Indeed, a strange argument for someone on the Right, one might have supposed that punishing someone simply for membership of the organisation and, by extension, punishing them for their opinions runs counter to the libertarian principle of free speech. You don't defend freedom by taking away freedoms.
That may be so but there is no doubt that movements are stronger for blending together as a group. The principle may not appeal but the idea that these dangerous groups can be broken up and divided is more appealing than your policy. There is plenty of freedom of speech in this country and there are bans on membership of certain organisations. Our democratic system of government should ensure that the balance is right.

Using a similar analogy, you and everyone else that supports the current government, is also supporting ISIS indirectly through the UK governments unholy relationship with the religious governments of countries such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

To really combat terror, end support for Saudi Arabia | Owen Jones | Comment is free | The Guardian

And what happens if the UK begins to unravel the political system in Saudi Arabia. I would imagine that your little binary brain would have great difficulty in imagining such an outcome

Well since they never got to stay in power for a long time, my argument stands Every time either party is on the brink of pushing things too far, the other lot come in and balance things up a bit. It's not an assertion though, more a speculation/question.

It's really quite sad that you're utterly incapable of believing anyone would ever do anything for any reason other than self-interest. Especially since I thought you had a family... the concept shouldn't be foreign to you even!

Every single Greenie I know (between 5-15 depending how you interpret the label) would certainly be classed as a "nice, well-meaning person". A small sample but I wonder how many you know personally. Considering how much contempt you hold them in, it seems unlikely you have any Greenie friends.

Why are we talking about ISIS now?

Because the Greens support terrorism by saying that membership of terrorist groups should not be illegal, however if you do criminal acts you should feel the full force of the law.

It won't, if anything the Saudis probably have more influence in UK economic and political circles than the UK does in theirs. The UK is so desperate to do business with Saudi that it has to bribe people richer than them, see BAE, ad naseum!

Cos' DA attempted to smear the 'Greenies' as supporting them, was the start. Apparently this means he 'cannot make any sort of logical argument to get his point of view across'.

Like those upstanding members of Parliament, Sinn Fein ...Conservatives only terrorise people who don't fit in with their mindset
