    Long term contractors - Parking

Quick question to people in the know.....

There's a policy here where contractors are not permitted to park in the staff carpark. I've worked here now for 5 years, so would consider myself a long term contractor. I remember some time ago there was a change which gave long term contractors the same rights as members of staff?

Would this change apply to the 'no parking rule' enforced here?

Yes, you are also entitled to sickness benefit, 28 days holiday and allowed to use the showers to have a wank

Yep, there's definitely an HMRC dispensation to cover this scenario. You should call them and ask about it.

Yes of course, if I was you I would find the director or owners car space and park there. The director/owner will realise his/her mistake be incredibly apologetic and immediately sort out a space for you.

            Good luck and safe parking.

Thread in General? Check yup it is...

Get your flameproofs on you're going to get roasted by some of the denizens.

Think it through, do you really want to think and talk in terms of employee type rights as a contractor? Does that make any sense from any perspective or are you really that unbelievably daft?

Any contract over 3 months should make you a long term contractor so they are due you backdated holiday pay, sickness benefit and time off in lieu for time spent in the showers
