And there were armed police nearby, one of which was summarily executed at point blank. What a strange sense of proportion some posters here have never mind in the world.

My big fear is these murderous bastards will simply disappear into the night, never to be brought to justice.

I personally detest religions, all of them. They make men do unspeakable crimes in the name of 'their' god.

What we can do is absolutely NOTHING. The best we can do is hope that our respective offices/homes/streets/cities don't get attacked.

Owning a gun or not may not make a "great difference" due to the element of uncertainty of the scale of attacks.

Anyone planning to bang their fists about immigration should have realised by now that the damage has already happened. There are scores of "them" wandering our streets or hiding underground - imported or home grown.

10 people in office, attackers had no clue which ones could have had a few handguns (Glock 9mm to the head is as effective as 7.62 from Kalashnikov) - by the time they shot 3rd victim they should have received return fire from those who had firearms. Granted artists are not the ones carrying guns, but given the risks they took and much more liberal gun laws in France they should have armed themselves at least in the office.

Obviously it's NOT their fault that they were not armed, I am just saying had they been armed then attackers would not have killed so many.

Almost anybody in this country can get license to drive 2 ton vehicle which can and often does kill many people, why can't responsible trained people get handgun license?
