Just to add. X/Mrs-X have a one year old kid to whom 3F is the Godfather.

Good point. I was just stating that X's personality was the 'given' reason.

For clarity, Mrs Boyo bumped into 3F over xmas and he had his new lady friend with him. So Mrs-boyo told boyo their version and he told me over several ciders.

Edit: I did once meet X when he visited 3F over some Uni break. Seemed a nice chap but that was 20+ years ago.
