Please don't try and think your day release BSc tulipe is anything compared to an Bachelor of Engineering Honours, they print BSc degree certificates on photocopiers, it gives the morons something to make them feel special.
Yes, the worlds first wet gas flow measurement rig, the worlds first earthquake simulation rig, the worlds first oscillating column wave energy device and scores of other 'firsts' pale into insignificance next to your achievements.

Steam tables, a reference document researched and created at the NEL and used world wide in education and engineering applications and you dismiss their origin because you knew an apprentice or two. No wonder you're sitting in your kitchen failing to start web services.

You do realise that apprentices worked in 'workshops' where they made things using 'machines', don't you ? So they were there to learn how to use machines to make things. I suppose you'd have had nothing less than a PhD holder working the lathe.

be thankful that they're still at that age. Wait till they find out that you are Santa's accountant and daddy's 'new job makes him so much money that there are no limits to what can be expected

I knew someone that served an apprenticeship on the south side and went to Langside on day release like yourself, he went onto do some technology type BSc like yourself and asked me to help him with his maths on his final year. I had to explain to him that sinx + x was not 2 sinx.

A so called engineering degree, his final year and I am trying to explain 15 year old level maths to him.

Do me a favour. It shows the level of idiot they let into these things

So you knew one apprentice who was tulip at Maths, so anyone who ever worked there is the same ? About 650 people worked there when I was there, about 12 of them would be apprentices. There were also people with multiple PhDs and people who swept the workshops and emptied the bins. Your knowledge of one apprentice is hardly a sample.

It is morons like yourself trying to pass themselves of as engineers with your advanced certificate in lathe that has been the death of the profession in this country.

In Germany they would not allow someone with your joke of a degree to use the title Engineer.

You really need to go back to Uni then, cause other than a bit of counting, you seem to have learned **** all.

So, a BSc (from the early 80's) is a joke degree. Maybe it is because I never learned to use a lathe.

Face it Minestrone, you're a bitter, twisted fanny who reckons his (clearly unused) BEng means he's going to conquer the 'new world' with his forward thinking.

Unfortunately for you, you've won the prize of web coding and the X Factor. Congratulations

A BSc in one of these noddy technology & manufacturing courses is a noddy course no matter what decade it is done it.

"I have three widgets and one is wrong, how many are not wrong?"

I'm sure you are very proud of your degree, you have a whiff of "I was the first person in my family to get a degree" but let's not pretend it is something that someone of my ability would have had to work for. I just aim a bit higher than you. I can tell I'm from a family that aims a bit higher than your family.
