Walkie Talkies are still useful where there's crap reception or when you want to use them continuously without breaking the bank.Popular in the 90s and 80s, walkie talkies provided a way of short range, audio communication - well before mainstream adoption of the mobile phone.Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.Comment

Yeh. Still got some walkie talkies. Except on very rare day out with young nephews, never actually use them. Big problem is only 4 channels. Nephews are talking crap to each other and a local field ranger butts in, hello where is my tractor?.
Same with radio CCTV. One of the four channels on mine has a lovely view of an adjacent factory's oil tank.bloggoth
