oh it cheered me up, now if only B'Liars diety could give him some incurable venereal disease that stops that smug face swanning round the world then life would be good.

B'ruin was incompetent and bigoted but I don't think he was actually intentionally malevolent.

I really do not know why people till buy this. These people usually believe this themselves that they are somehow doing the rest of society some sort of favour. Once they are into the bear pit of politics however they realise that is every man and woman for themselves. those who stay rooted to their cause just do not get on.

the difference between the Tories and labour is at least the Tories do not pretend that they are in it to deliver social justice for all.

You can say the same for Adolf Hitler.

Just because someone means well, that's no excuse for fscking things up for everyone else through sheer incompetence.

AH didn't care about anything other than fulfilling his own mission, for his own reasons.

            :nazi:

And I never said good intentions were an excuse for incompetence. I only pointed out that GB seems more genuine than the likes of Millipede/Clegg. I'd rather a misguided fool than one who just says what he thinks will get him approval.

              F**k me

The guy is one of the most vicious self serving and manipulative politicians of all time. He made no bones about wanting leadership of the labour party. You only had to see in his attitude toward that grass roots labour woman. A person more far removed from his own supporters there never was:

Mr Brown privately attacking Mrs Duffy, 66, as a 'bigot' for daring to raise immigration with him - seconds after telling her she was a 'good woman'..

He wanted leadership so he could make the changes he wanted to make.

This tells you everything there is about the man:

11.30 Brown meets Gillian Duffy on a walkabout in Rochdale and gets a grilling about public debt, taxes, benefits and immigration. He says it was 'very nice to meet her' as they part and she tells reporters he seems 'very nice'
12.15 Sky News broadcasts recording of Brown saying the exchange was a 'disaster' and calling Mrs Duffy a 'bigoted woman'
12.25 Mrs Duffy says she is 'very annoyed' and that she isn't going to vote anymore
12.45 Brown is played the comments live on Radio 2's Jeremy Vine show. TV news channels show him with his head in his hands. He apologise for the first time
13.20 Labour says PM has phoned the pensioner to apologise. Spokesman says he was 'letting off steam'
14.20 Lord Mandelson admits there is no excuse for the comment as other ministers also rush to limit damage
14.50 It emerges Brown is returning to Mrs Duffy's home to apologise in person
15.05 PM has to negotiate a media scrum as he arrives at the terrace house
15.45 Brown emerges, says he's 'mortified' but claims he misunderstood Mrs Duffy's comments

To be fair to Milliband and Clegg they appear to be far more genuine than Brown ever seemed.

I suppose to you that's the same thing, since you're incapable of believing anyone is genuinely left-wing except to take your money.

I am afraid that until someone shows me an example of how socialism works to the benefit of the people rather than those who control its functions then that is precisely what I will always believe. It does not work, it never has and it never will.

its only useful function is to provide a nominal (not practical) balance to the abuses of capitalism and to make people at least think that capitalism is too brutal a system for everyone to rely on to live. As a practical balancing ideal it is useless and is exploited as a means to steal money off people to feed the power and pockets of self proclaimed socialists.
