“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.” -
Good article that highlights how immigration is solving the problem of an aging population.
Indeed for indigenous Brits the immigration boom will mean they can retire earlier.I'm alright JackComment

Obviously not if married to nigel FarageOriginally posted by darmstadt View PostWell she's an immigrant doing a job that a British born person could do isn't she?
You have completely missed the point yet again.
For you to understand:
Britain has too many immigrants and now wishes to put a stop to them
Quite what this has to do with migrants from the past is beyond me. Even if we wish to repatriate some immigrants then exactly who will be specified probably according to where they come from , what they do and how long they have been here.
You seem to think that this whole debate is about what is "fair". It is not it is about what serves the interests of the UK.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

I suppose if you want to single out an individual then yes possibly she counts as part of the immigration wave, why don't we pick on Boris next ? Anything to avoid the real issue.Originally posted by darmstadt View PostWell she's an immigrant doing a job that a British born person could do isn't she?Comment

If that was the intention then why was it not planned and put to the electorate? Or just because you do not wish to lose your own gravy train of being free to ply your trade across the EU you are just telling us how lucky we are and that people like you are doing us a favour.Originally posted by BlasterBates View PostGood article that highlights how immigration is solving the problem of an aging population.

With UKIP languishing on 15% in the polls this is just the opinion of small minority. I certainly don't hear this from anyone I meetup with in the UK.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View Post

The UK will remain in the EU and immigration will continue.
So you might as well get used to it.

When I was at school the number of children was falling. We were told horror stories of having to support 4 pensioners each with our taxes.
Migrants from the past and the UK's history of migration make the UK what it is today.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostQuite what this has to do with migrants from the past is beyond me.
