Citizens in the US have a right to bear arms so as a result their police are armed as well.Originally posted by mudskipper View PostOfficers in the UK manage to defend themselves without shooting their attacker. As any fule knows, the biggest backer of the NRA and US arms industry is the Islam Caliphate. With the constant lobbying of the US government by these bodies, they're hoping for American citizens to eventually all shoot each other making their destruction of the evil Satan complete...

Aren't all US cops enormously fat?Odd too that the height/weight of the Officer is not known
PS Yeh, unfair I know, but reasonable retaliation for The Simpsons always showing the British as having bad teeth! Why is Mike and Molly a less reliable guide to reality than the Simpsons?bloggoth

Most UK officers would have been in serious trouble in that situation though, you can run through pepper spray and tackle someone, tazers are not that reliable under stress etc. The attacker was pumped up and over 20 stone if he managed to grapple the police officer then it would have been very dangerous.Originally posted by mudskipper View PostOfficers in the UK manage to defend themselves without shooting their attacker. The US police are trained that when there is danger to life they can use deadly force. A 20 stone guy can easily kill someone hence when he rushed the officer the officer fired.
They are trained to keep firing until the threat has stopped. Forget one shot take downs that hardly ever happens.Comment
