I noticed my bank supports this and while on the face of it I can't see a downside I wondered if there are problems? I can see it requires critical mass to be much use but are there good reasons not to register my mobile number? My bank claims you don't need to be registered to send money to someone's phone number, since Paym is integrated with their online banking - but I'm blowed if I can see how to do that!

I registered, but I've never used it. Some banks are quicker on the uptake than others - Santander have an option in their banking app to do it, but I don't think First Direct do it yet.Originally posted by d000hg View PostI noticed my bank supports this and while on the face of it I can't see a downside I wondered if there are problems? The Guardian has had some articles about it when it launched, but I don't know anyone who has used it. That said, I rarely get to speak to people, as I'm not allowed out of the house very often.
