I noticed my bank supports this and while on the face of it I can't see a downside I wondered if there are problems? I can see it requires critical mass to be much use but are there good reasons not to register my mobile number? My bank claims you don't need to be registered to send money to someone's phone number, since Paym is integrated with their online banking - but I'm blowed if I can see how to do that!

The Guardian has had some articles about it when it launched, but I don't know anyone who has used it. That said, I rarely get to speak to people, as I'm not allowed out of the house very often.
