Have you asked your accountant at all?

Or is he on holiday or rubbish or you don't trust him/her?

I don't want to ask him simple things like this.

I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).

Ask your accountant, that is *literally* their job.

You could class it as an expense, or as R&D, or you could payroll the freelancer.

You *literally* pay an accountant for these sorts of questions. Go ask one.

                You have a choice.

                1. Ask your stupid question of your accountant who knows your business and is able to give you an informed answer.
                2. Ask your stupid question of a bunch of people who are getting fed up of answering your brainfarts and are as likely to give you harmful advice as they are good advice.

If the quality of your questions doesn't improve your account will be suspended on the grounds of trolling.

Taking taxis most days to work as expense.

So I've gotten tired (I'm over 30) of 6 years of commuting on the trains and tube and am taking taxis in london most days to work at a cost of around £18 per trip (executive saloon).

Will this pass as legitimate business travel expense?

The normal rules apply regardless of means of travel.
