    HTH.
We can all play "tit for "tat" but as you know this is nothing to do with climate change (which changes all the time anyway so the title itself gives the game away). It is a fight over money and to satisfy the forces of envy and greed between the left and right.

You do spend of lot of effort inventing positions so you can challenge them, effectively arguing with yourself. I'd agree with you this far and no further:-

Most climate change deniers are indeed on the Right.
My subconscious is annoying. It's got a mind of its own.

The most amusing thing about Dr Viner's faux pas where he predicted the end of snow within a couple of decades in 2000 (note), is the fact that there is now considerably more snow than there was then:

He's never going to live down the headline he so proudly created.

            I'm alright Jack

I'm never going to stop trotting out this headline the Indie sub editor added every time it snows. Opinion page science is all I have.

The Global Warming zealots became Climate Change loons simply because they realised they couldn't predict feck all, and any "science" that can't predict tulip is simply religious dogma for the hard of thinking.

And when did this rethink occur? The IPCC was formed 27 years ago. Hint : not the Independent Press Complaints Commission.

My own hunch is to believe in climate change. Human activity suggests it. I am not even that bothered about demanding incontrovertible evidence. In the worst case, if it was all false, we will just have a few thousand windmills we didn't need. But if it is all true, the gamble is somewhat more serious.

Windmills being free of course. Shame we have to pay for the leccy to make them turn for the greenies.
