Predictably, the Green eco-loons are linking the horrible earthquake in Nepal with climate change

I wonder what on earth is not caused by it

        This is an interesting paper

Rapid atmospheric CO2 changes associated with the 8,200-years-B.P. cooling event

This shows that CO2 levels are more dynamic than prevously thought.

In other words CO2 levels above 300 ppm are perfectly normal even without man.

High levels caused by "outgassing" out of the ocean.

Nobody claimed the Nepal catastophe was caused by global warming, however there is nothing loony about the idea of seismic events being triggered by changes in glaciation or hydrology ...

Fascinating, Previous to 2002, when it was published. I note the authors say the study

            corroborates a distinctive temperature–CO2*correlation
and found a max CO2 level of around 320ppm

            PubMed Central, Fig 2.: Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2002 Sep 17; 99(19): 12011

            We're now pushing 400ppm ….

Ok, that really is bloody stupid.

There's a reason the Himalayas are there and as high as they are and getting higher, also why the whole region is prone to FOGB quakes and always has been since India hit Asia.

Nobody claimed the Nepal catastophe was caused by global warming. Surely you've got used to EO's little 'embellishments' by now?

This paper says something pretty significant, regardless of when it was published.

Most relevant scientific papers are older than one year.

Non-scientists often naively confuse journalism and science assuming anything that wasn't immediately published is irrelevant, i.e. scoffing at a paper because it wasn't published yesterday in the same way you might scoff at an out of date newspaper.

I think you will find that I linked it to climate change. as per the link.

Followed by 'I wonder what on earth is not caused by it', you slippery customer. Are you Jim Steele?
