We can't see into the future, only the past. If all you knew was that someone onboard would test positive for the disease, would you have gotten on the plane?

No, because people only test positive for the virus after they are highly infectious.

Without the ability to see into the future, I would only know someone had the virus a few days after them sneezing on me could kill me.

The problem with your original question is that it covers a situation that cannot occur in the real world. We cannot know if someone on the plane is incubating except in a historical perspective because incubators cannot be detected.

Are you asking me to have selective future sight?

No. I'm asking you to answer the hypothetical question, would you get on a plane knowing someone was infected with Ebola?

I'm pretty sure that during the incubation period a persons blood can spread the virus (as the virus is present there) but other bodily fluids cannot (as during the incubation period the virus is not present in other bodily fluids).
But what's the flight time? No symptoms,so safe, when he boarded. Was that true by the time he got off?

They really should be stopping flights to the US or EU from that part of Africa. Hardly as if it would impact our economy.

PS Although come to think of it, they might then use indirect routes and infect more people.

Maybe Africans there would take Ebola more seriously if it did not sound so nice. Ebola, ebullient, Eeee! Bolare!! Oh! oh! If they renamed it Grimdich it would be better.

Same works for AIDS. It sounds like a helpful thing to have. Maybe all those marketing types busy rebranding air miles to avios and such tulipe could be put to some use after all?

I hear only good things about Saatchi Masius, but my sources may be a tad biased.

If this was a game of plague then about now you would be losing. Obviously starting it in Africa was good. The next step is to get it airborne and surviving extreme cold. Then mutate it. The get it Cross border.

It crossed border way too soon and now the yanks will take it seriously and get a vaccine sorted out. Probably only a few thousand deaths.
Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.
